Have you always wanted to play guitar but haven’t quite gotten there? Have you tried to get going only to have momentum slow and fall off when life got busy again? Are you looking for a great community of women to learn and grow alongside? This retreat is for you. Specifically aimed at beginner players, this opportunity to spend a weekend away learning to make music together is not to be missed. Workshops will begin Friday night and continue through Saturday as you learn chords, strumming, maybe some fingerpicking and singing together with women at a similar place on the guitar playing road. Saturday night will see you relaxing together and resting your tired fingers as you take in the beautiful sounds of a Bow Valley singer-songwriter in a mini-concert. In addition to all this, there will be time for you to fill as you like, whether it is heading out for a walk or a run or listening to your body and taking a nap, painting, writing, reading or simply sitting and being.
Price includes shared accommodation (two beds per room), all workshops and mini-concert. Meals are self-catered, with potluck dinner Saturday night. Retreat location is in Bearspaw, Alberta. Directions, information packet and potluck details will be emailed after registration. Registration is non-refundable, but it is transferable should the need arise.
This retreat has a maximum capacity of 8 women, and is expected to fill quickly so do not hesitate! Sign up now.
